BBO: Age Of Opportunity

BBO Age Of Opportunity

Helping over 50s access skills and support to get back into work or training

BBO Age Of Opportunity is funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery, through the Big Lottery Fund.

The Age of Opportunity is a Building Better Opportunities project which has been designed specifically to meet the needs of over 50s who would like to work, but are unable to without additional skills or support. A core focus for this project is supporting older people who are most at risk of social exclusion.

Under this project, our ‘Navigators’ work with participants to understand their interests, aspirations and barriers to work or training. Each individual participant is then directed within our thematic partner network for specialist support that will help them to engage in work readiness activity.

The Navigator team at Age UK Greater Lancashire is the first point of contact for participants under this project.
