Substation Developments

The land next to our centre is being developed

Electricity North West owns the land adjacent to Gannow Community Centre and noticed that it is in a bit of a state.

Working with the centre coordinator, Electricity North West has proposed clearing the whole site with the exception of 3 to 5 trees. The tree trunks will be utilised to make a herb garden and bird boxes. Three raised beds will be created for a flower garden and a vegetable garden. A wild flower area will also be planted.

Work will start soon and should be ready for residents to visit mid-May or early June.

There are lots of other exciting plans including planting a butterfly and bee garden to attract wildlife and maybe a bee hive!
