Thank You Andrew

Andrew Duffy wanted to help and support the unsung heroes

Andrew Duffy decided to raise money to help out the Young Carers service and support the unsung heroes of our local communities.

He challenged himself to run both the Great North Run and the Devon half marathon as well as a number of other runs. A fundraising target of £2100 was set and a JustGiving page was set up from which he would donate to charities close to his heart.

Andrew's love of running started last year and after completing a number of charity runs he decided to set himself a monster challenge to raise money. The challenge was to run 2170 kilometers to raise a total of £2100 for 3 charities; Alzheimers Research, The Stroke Association and BPRCVS Young Carers with the money raised to be split equally between the three charities.

Many, many thanks to Andrew for completing the challenge and raising £600 for BPRCVS Young Carers. A huge thank you to the staff at Fitzpatricks UK, Andrew's workplace for donating a huge collective amount of £500.

Congratulations Andrew on completing your challenge and raising £600 for the Young Carers service at BPRCVS.

BPRCVS and Young Carers would like to extend thanks to everyone who supported Andrew on this challenge and very kindly donated to his cause.
