Young Carers Raised Over £800

Many thanks to everyone who came along to support Young Carers

Young Carers at BPRCVS raised a fantastic £862 from a fundraising dinner at Aldo’s Italian restaurant in Burnley.

Tuesday evening on 23rd May 2017 saw the Young Carers service run by BPRCVS hold their first ever fundraising dinner. 74 people purchased tickets for the event and in doing so made a valuable contribution to keeping the Young Carers service running. All guests enjoyed a very tasty three course meal and excellent company all evening.

The £862 raised from ticket sales and raffle tickets will be going towards the day-to-day running of the project and activities. The raffle was hugely successful with some fantastic prizes won by the attending guests. Young Carers would like to thank Aldo’s Italian restaurant for donating the prize of a free meal for two, Sainsbury’s for donating a bath set and Breville toasty maker, Coldwell Activity Centre and Jacquie Devlin for donating a selection of raffle prizes.

Jenny Cocker, Young Carers Senior Worker, said “we were overwhelmed by the amount of support from everybody who attended.”

On behalf of everyone at Young Carers and BPRCVS we would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who came along to the fundraising dinner for your excellent and generous support. Your help will make a genuine difference to the lives of young people through Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale who have to sacrifice much on their young lives to look after ill and vulnerable parents and family members.

The dinner was a fantastic success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their evening. Following the success of the fundraising dinner Young Carers will be planning more events to raise vital money in the future.
