Submit Tender Now

Do you provide activities and/or services for children and young people? There's an exciting project unfolding and we urge you to get your tender in now!

Children’s centres and youth clubs have been subject to closures over recent years due to local council and central government budget cuts. Unfortunately this has left our children and young people with very little to do in the way of activities and services outside their home. Whether they’re looking for entertaining, fun activities to take part in or services to improve health and wellbeing, it has become substantially more difficult to access activities and services for children and young people.

Sadly a lack of activities and services designed for children and young people has resulted in an increase of perceived anti-social behaviour within local communities.

Poverty and holiday hunger are prominent issues facing too many young people and their families. Childhood obesity is an ever increasing problem too as is general health and wellbeing. There’s a need for counselling services, mental health services and other social improvement services as well as healthy living and healthy eating services to lead our youngsters toward a long, healthy and prosperous life.

Let’s do something about this. Young people are our future and we should be building their aspirations. Gannow Big Local, working alongside BPRCVS, is aiming to tackle this issue and, with your help, put an end to anti-social behaviour.  We’re appealing for as many activity and service providers as possible to submit tender. There’s a multitude of exciting opportunities awaiting individuals, charities, community groups and voluntary organisations. We’re open and able to be flexible with anyone who submits tender. We understand that groups and organisations come in all shapes and sizes. Collaborative efforts, partnerships and shared agreements will be considered as we want to provide as many activities and services as possible.

If you feel that you have the activities and services to tackle this issue or you just want an informal discussion about the project and its intentions call Tracey Noon on 01282 433740 Ext. 1007 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. Alternatively you can see her at Gannow Community Centre on Wednesday mornings or Thursday afternoons.

The deadline for tender submission is 24th February at 12 noon.
