Every week on Wednesdays there is an exceptional exercise and healthy eating activity taking place at the Valley Street Community Centre in Burnley. Around 12-16 people regularly attend to spend up to 1 hour exercising and then learning about healthy eating by cooking healthy foods.

Box & Bite is a fantastic activity that has significantly improved the health and wellbeing of those in attendance. The improvements have been amazing and the men involved are always talking about how good Box & Bite is. The men thoroughly enjoy themselves every week as the exercise is fun and only as hard as you want to make it. The cooking is easy and simple.

With trained boxing coaches from 5 Ways Boxing you will always be in good hands. The exercise performed is totally at your level of fitness and willingness. It is typically a combination of boxercise and circuit training. There's a full size boxing ring and plenty of equipment to go around.

The cooking classes offer something unique. After exercising there is an opportunity to learn how to cook a delicious meal. All meals cooked are very healthy and usually very simple and easy to cook. Most of the best foods are! This provides an opportunity to encourage positive lifestyle change and learn about goal setting.

Box & Bite needs a cooking volunteer that can give around 3 hours of their time every Wednesday to take on the role of producing and teaching healthy cooking and eating. This opportunity is fantastic for anyone who loves cooking and cares about the health and wellbeing of others.
