Volunteer Learning Passport

Ongoing volunteer development at BPRCVS

Over the last few weeks the team of volunteers in The CVS Centre that staff our reception have been completing a range of training modules from a new online e-learning platform called the Volunteer Learning Passport.

The Volunteer Learning Passport is part of e-Learning for Healthcare, or e-LfH for short, is a Health Education England Programme in partnership with the NHS and Professional Bodies.

The e-learning consisted of; Data Security Awareness, Equality Diversity and Human Rights, Fire Safety, Health and Safety, Safeguarding Adults and Safeguarding Children modules.

Volunteer learners have to pass all of these modules to get the Volunteer Learning Passport. The passport allows volunteers to take their learning with them so that they can volunteer for a number of groups and organisations without the need to repeat the same training at each voluntary organisation.

We have Tori, Beth and Catherine who have completed the learning passport with all other volunteers in the reception team currently undertaking the modules. The three new volunteers who have just joined the reception team will be starting to work towards completing the passport.
