BBC Children In Need Emergency Essentials Programme

Referrers in Burnley, Pendle & Rossendale needed

To give some background, Family Fund Business Services are now delivering the BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme (previously this was Buttle UK). We started delivering the programme in June and we are very keen to spread awareness about the programme in order to meet the needs of as many families as possible.

Currently we have no coverage as far as referrers to the programme are concerned in Burnley & Pendle and only one referrer in Rossendale – we are actively working to change this and would love to hear from potential referrers across Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale.

Emergency Essentials grants are for children and young people living with severe poverty (as well as having additional social welfare issue) or are experiencing a crisis/emergency.

We can deliver or fund critical items such as:

  • Gas or electric cookers
  • Essential household items
  • Furniture and kitchen equipment
  • Children’s beds and bedding
  • Washing machines
  • Fridges and freezers
  • Baby equipment
  • Clothing in exceptional or emergency situations.

You can find out more about the Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme on our website:

You will also be able to find the referrer guidelines on that page.
