Improving Reach Project PDF Print E-mail

The Improving Reach project is funded by Capacity Builders and is led by Pendle Community Network in Nelson.

Two Migrant Population Outreach workers work with the Eastern European migrant populations throughout Burnley, Pendle, Hyndburn and Rossendale. They aim to empower and develop migrant communities in a number of ways:

  • Provide them with a collective voice to speak out about the issues they face
  • Help them set up and develop their own community interest groups
  • Influence the delivery of services that support them.

A Rural Outreach worker works across Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale and Hyndburn, empowering rural communities to express their views about local issues through district based forums and to support the development of existing and emerging community groups.

Julie Brons is the Migrant Population Outreach worker based at CVS.
