BPRCVS provides a wide range of support to young Carers from across Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale.  More information can be found on the ‘Young Carers’ tab to the left.

We also work with a range of employers across East Lancashire to ensure adult carers who undertake paid work alongside their unpaid caring role have support in their workplace, through our ‘Carers in Employment’ project.

Employers: we can help you support and retain your employees!!

1 in 7 people in the UK’s workforce are carers – people who provide unpaid care to family members who may be disabled, elderly or frail, and who couldn’t manage without support. These carers are protected by legislation which many employers may not be aware of, and the number of working carers is set to increase.

How much will it cost me? It’s completely free (our project is funded by Lancashire County Council)

What is involved? It’s up to you – it can be as quick as a 5 minute phone call and we can provide you with a free template Working Carers policy (developed by Donald, Race and Newton solicitors), as well as information and training for you and your workforce

What’s the catch? There isn’t one. As long as your business falls within the Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley areas you are eligible for this free service

What’s in it for my business? Good businesses rely on planning for the future and managing a diverse and changing workforce. Be prepared now, retain your staff and ensure you’re compliant with legislation.

In addition to the free support, you will receive a Carer Friendly Organisation award.
